Oh man, you ask yourself… is paying $800 (flights, housing, food, and festival ticket) worth it for Coachella?! and the answer is always yes.

Coachella 2018 marked my 5th time #yikes attending the festival, but seriously every year it is SO much fun, the music acts are always so good (and it's really exciting guessing surprise guests), the art installations are gorgeous, and it's just a really well run festival.

Whether you’re camping (12 car caravan anyone?!) or at an Airbnb (chilling at the pool till noon), you are for sure guaranteed to have a good time.

Note: mixing up the format a bit here cause there's no lowlights, highlights will vary each year so instead I'm just going to include a few tips & tricks.

Tips and Tricks

  • A few must brings when you head insight the grounds:

    • Cash– easier to pick up water and stuff then going to the refill stations. Water is $2 a bottle

    • Smuggle Sunscreen Container– to sneak in alcohol. Buy Coke at a vendor inside

    • Pocky sticks– I always bring in two bags and it hits the spot by the end of the night

    • Mints

    • Portable charger– see packing list for favorite reco’d one

    • Bandana– to block out dust from the weekend

  • To survive your festival experience

    • If you’re staying at an Airbnb, get in around 2/3pm. Not as hot, you still get to see all the major acts and you’ll feel 10x more relaxed.

    • Time stamp all your text messages.

    • Don’t sweat about trying to meet up with ALL your friends at Coachella. It’s hard and will stress you out. Instead enjoy your time and if you run into them think of it as a fun surprise! If you must meet up with them however, set up a designated time and spot and stay 10 min. If they don’t show up, then you leave.
