The first time I ever came to Philadelphia was the week after the Pope came to visit, and the city was gorgeous. Everything was spotless. On top of that, it was fall, so you could feel brisk breeze everywhere. The second time was definitely less glamourous. I came around February in for a East Coast hopping trip, and let’s just say… most of my time was spent indoors freezing.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Visiting UPenn / Wharton and spending the day with one of my favorite lawyers Leah!

  • Running up the Rocky Steps with the US Women’s Soccer Team (courtesy of a work conference I was invited to)

  • Seeing the the famous LOVE sign lit up with pink water in support of women’s breast cancer month.

  • Eating in Reading Terminal Market (Beiler’s Bakery makes amazing creamy donuts).

  • Strolling through history and visiting Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell (with Adam who drove out to see me!)

  • Walking through Rittenhouse Square in the fall. So pretty to experience for the California girl.

lowlights

  • Over hyped philly cheesesteaks. Went to Tony Luke’s, waited 30+ min in line, and it was not worth.

  • Missing my OG flight out of Philly, and staying an extra day in the freezing cold in February.

  • Freezing my butt off here in February!
